With over 32 years of experience in mortgage lending, Ed Wait is a seasoned loan originator for Waterstone Mortgage. A Southern California native, Ed's career began at the age of 17 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served aboard two "boomer" submarines, the USS Daniel Boone (SSBN-629) and the USS James Madison (SSBN-627), before being stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. After his military service, Ed transitioned to the mortgage industry in Tampa, Florida, where he worked as a mortgage broker for over two decades — gaining invaluable experience in the home financing sector.

In 2017, Ed and his wife decided to relocate to the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, where they quickly embraced the Midwest lifestyle. Today, Ed is proud to represent Waterstone Mortgage and serve clients in Minnesota, across the Midwest, and throughout the United States. Through Waterstone Mortgage, he has the ability to lend in 48 states.

As a dedicated loan originator, Ed has extensive expertise in VA loans, which help military veterans and their families access favorable home financing options. He is also highly skilled in securing FHA loans for first-time homebuyers, conventional loans for a variety of buyers, and refinance options for homeowners looking to lower their interest rates or access home equity.
