Dustin Owen

Dustin Owen entered the mortgage banking industry in 2004 as a rookie Mortgage Loan Originator. He currently co-operates and runs a $1 billion retail production operation, which he co-founded with his two business partners in 2008.

Dustin is the creator and host of The Loan Officer Podcast (TLOP), the #1 podcast for mortgage and real estate professionals along with their clients. Owen is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) which is his industry’s top designation held by only 1,000 active mortgage professionals. He is a 2022 graduate from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Future Leaders Program.

Dustin Owen was born and raised in Central Florida. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Dustin also attended college in England where he studied economics, marketing, and popular culture. Dustin joined Waterstone Mortgage, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waterstone Bank, SSB, in August of 2008. Dustin married his high school sweetheart, Michelle, in 2002 and they are the proud parents of two awesome children. In his spare time, Dustin trains for triathlons, enjoys traveling, and cheering on his beloved UCF Knights.
