Things are looking bright on the Seacoast!
We recently opened a new branch at 100 International Drive, Suite 355, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and are excited to welcome Branch Manager Ray Tweedie to our Waterstone Mortgage family! Ray’s team includes senior loan originator Keely Maguire.
Ray has 25+ years of experience in the banking industry (for 20 of those, he’s focused specifically on mortgage lending) – so he truly knows his stuff. Plus, he’s excited to serve homebuyers in the greater Portsmouth area, because it’s full of communities that are near and dear to his heart.
“I love the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire,” he says. “My family is generations-deep in the community. It’s truly one of the best places to live, work, and play.”
The Seacoast community includes a variety of scenic towns. Those along the coastline include Hampton, North Hampton, New Castle, Portsmouth, Seabrook, and Rye. The area has a variety of attractions, including Hampton Beach, Prescott Park, the Strawbery Banke Museum, and Fuller Gardens. There’s no shortage of nature-related activities, as the Seacoast also includes many state and local parks, beaches, fishing and boating locations, and scenic drives.
Overall, the Seacoast is an ideal place to live, which is one of the reasons why Ray and his team are excited to serve homebuyers there.
When it came to their decision to join WMC, the Portsmouth team was attracted to several defining characteristics of our company. For instance, our forward-thinking leadership team made a great impression. In fact, Ray previously worked with our President & CEO, Jeff McGuiness, at another employer.

Plus, Ray and his team were excited about our expansive collection of home loans.
“I love that we have a 5% down Single Loan Close Construction Program, as well as medical professional and community hero loans,” Ray says. “Helping those who help us is important for me and my team.”
