‘Tis the season of thankfulness and giving. This past Giving Tuesday, we decided to support our local community by making a $1,000 donation to the FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County.
The FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County provides food items to those who are unemployed, living in poverty, or have disabilities or health issues. They also provide baby products such as formula, diapers, and infant hygiene products.
Another important initiative of the FOOD Pantry is providing free and reduced-price meals to eligible students in the Waukesha County Public School District. These programs help school-aged children receive the nutrition they need before, during, and after school.
We have supported the FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County in past years, and we’re pleased to donate to this important cause again this season.
“The FOOD pantry supports a number of initiatives that are very beneficial to our community,” Waterstone Mortgage Chief Operating Officer Kerry Wirth said. “We are honored to financially aid their efforts, especially during this busy time of year. Giving back to our community is one of Waterstone Mortgage’s core values, and we’re very supportive of the FOOD Pantry’s efforts.”
With the help of gracious donors and volunteers, the FOOD Pantry currently serves more than 65,000 Waukesha County residents each year. One-third of these residents are children.
“We are honored to be a part of the Waukesha County community,” Lisa Fenske, SVP – Marketing & Communications said. “We are also proud to align ourselves with an organization that is devoted to giving back to our neighbors.”
